Once upon a time, I was the only person with my name who was prominent on the Internet. My prior site had many links pointing to it, and was well-known for its musical notation fonts, digitized voice parameters, essays, and other material. Even a search for my surname would, in most cases, lead to me.

But nowadays, a search for my full name, Robert Allgeyer, may lead to myself or to unrelated persons.

Folks usually see me dressed for playing soccer, or wearing a bicycle helmet and yellow windbreaker. I lurk in places such as Ormond Beach, Florida (near Daytona Beach), or Aptos, California (near Santa Cruz). However, since I'm retired, I might be traveling anywhere.

I discontinued my old site at the start of 2009, leaving a simple page until the end of the year. This current site is marking time (and holding my domain name). It might have new content late in 2010, or not, depending on mood. I don't happen to be under the illusion that something is important merely because I write it, even though my writings have appeared here and there, and have been read by numerous people over the years.

If you happened to visit this site in December 2009 or January-February 2010, then you noticed some other material. It's gone now. That material was temporary filler while I experimented with site layout possibilities. The real material will appear "when I get around to it." No hurry.
